Hey Guys,
I mean hey YOU! <---- That was a special shout out to my follower. LOL!
Anyway, if there's anybody out there.... I have a couple freebies today for
Get Excited!

One of my groups has been working on comparing decimals, so I made a quick game to slide into a communicator sleeve. The students play against a partner, using playing cards with digits 1-9 (Ace is one). They flip two cards over into the rectangles provided and compare the two decimal numbers. Then they draw a model using flats, rods, and units (Flat= 1 Whole, Rod = Tenths, Units= Hundredths.) You can have the kids flip over three cards, if you want to cover the zero with a whole number. It's up to you! The player with the greater number captures the other player's cards.
The kids loved it!

I also made an interactive place value display including standard, expanded, and word-form. You can use this in addition to a number of the day activity! I included the Millions place through the Thousandths place. Hope you find a use for it!

I have 3 true, professional loves outside of the work I do as a Campus Math Specialist; Classroom Design, Instructional Design, and..... wait for it......

Can I get an amen?

Each year we choose a campus theme, and this year our theme is DREAMS! Each grade level chose a dream quote to represent their team, and in the common areas of the school, we created lots of "dreamy" bulletin boards. There are a few inspirational boards as well! We love how it turned out. And even more so, we love the welcoming feel for the students and parents!

Catch Your Dreams

If You Can Dream It, You Can Do It.
BE!

Dreaming Of Your Future

We hung a cloud banner at the beginning of each grade level hallway with their grade level quote. I used a few different KG fonts to make the words for the quotes.
Dream big little one, for when you wake, you'll move mountains.

All of our dreams can come true if we have the courage to pursue them.

Never Stop Dreaming

They turned their can'ts into cans and their dreams into plans

Be led by your dreams.
Dream it. Wish it. Do it.

I'd love to hear about your school's theme!
